TECHTUM

PANEL FOR PREFABRICATED PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BUILDINGS

Variable thickness:
What characterizes TECHTUM is the trapezoid geometric shape of the longitudinal section which recalls the truss: a shape that guarantees a higher degree of structural resistance to the roofing system.

Fire prevention:
Revolutionary in shape and quality, TECHTUM responds in an exemplary manner to fire regulations and safety needs. In fact, the product fully satisfies the conditions of the fire prevention regulation UNI EN 12845 and allows the positioning of the sprinklers with maximum effectiveness and in an easy manner.

TECHTUM, unlike curved panels, allows the optimal positioning of the sprinkler in relation to the structural elements, without having to resort to the use of corrugated metal sheets or additional false ceilings, with evident savings in work and costs. Furthermore, thanks to its flat ceiling, no shaded areas are created in the water spray, thus dispensing occurs at the ideal angle.

Installation and safety:
Compared to other solutions for covering industrial buildings in reinforced concrete, TECHTUM is easy to install as it is modular. Unlike other products – limited to rigidly defined radiuses – in fact, TECHTUM has a wide range of dimensions which make it versatile and applicable to all structures. Fixing to the underlying load-bearing structure is achieved using self-tapping screws for pre-stressed reinforced concrete, or alternatively, expansion bolts placed perpendicular to the upper edge of the flange of the wing beam. A gasket is placed between the panel and the beam to improve the sealing of the roof.

To obtain a considerable natural zenithal lighting of the building, specially made corrugated honeycomb polycarbonate profiles can be combined with the TECHTUM system; with this simple solution it is possible to obtain an homogeneous brightness of the underlying surfaces, greatly limiting the use of artificial lighting with the consequent of a significant savings in electricity costs. A lateral overlap has also been designed which ensures resistance to infiltration even in the event of severe climatic conditions. Over the roof made with TECHTUM, photovoltaic modules, smoke extractors, openable skylights for access to the roof or fire prevention systems can be installed without any difficulty, while on the internal side electrical ducts, air pipes, etc. can be anchored. The safety that TECHTUM guarantees cannot be found in any other curtained solution: walkability between one pitch and the next, easy access for ordinary maintenance of the roof and easy working conditions to safeguard the safety of workers.

Versatility of use:
TECHTUM is a product designed specifically for the prefabrication and construction of roofs of industrial buildings, in particular, it adapts perfectly to the many sections of pre-stressed wing beams available on the market. TECHTUM, thanks to its characteristics, becomes the product preferred by engineers, architects and construction companies, as it solves the complex and variable cases that can be encountered in the design of buildings. The TECHTUM panel can also be installed perfectly on warehouses with a metal carpentry structure, laminated wood or monoblocks.
