AM Corrugated Metal Sheets
The wide range of Isolpack corrugated elements also includes the AM Series – Improved Adhesion: corrugated sheets for floors with concrete casting. The AM series stands out for the particular deep drawing on the vertical part of the corrugations, which provides greater adhesion between the metal sheet and the concrete casting. The open shape of the corrugations allows designers to easily insert improved adhesion rods on the sheets, combining them with electro-welded mesh or pin connectors to improve the collaborative effect between the corrugated sheet, concrete and the load-bearing structure of the building.
The use of Isolpack AM Series Corrugated Sheets, compared to other prefabricated brick floors with hollow cores and beams, allows savings in transport and lifting costs, thanks to the lightness of the system, as well as very short construction times.
Furthermore, it has a minimum floor section (therefore a thin floor), making it suitable for high-load mezzanines, for hallways (landings) on stairwells, and for renovations of historic buildings.
The lower side of the corrugated sheet can also be supplied pre-painted, although it is advisable to use galvanized sheet metal for reasons of adhesion.
Collaborative steel-concrete floors (corrugated sheet metal) are used in new buildings or in the total replacement of the floor in the renovation of existing buildings. The use of lightweight structural concretes in the construction of the concrete slab reduces loads by up to 40% while maintaining mechanical resistances completely comparable to those of ordinary concrete and brings numerous design and practical advantages.
Finally, they can be used in a non-collaborative mode as a permanent formwork, thus allowing for higher load-bearing capacities thanks to the additional reinforcements planned in the design phase.
